At Bromley Emergency Courses, we’ve been teaching how to do Ultrasound Guided Vascular Access on our Core Emergency Ultrasound course for many years. In addition to that, we’ve now developed a short half-day course dedicated to Ultrasound-Guided Cannulation for a wider range of clinicians: Phlebotomists Health-care assistants Nurses Paramedics Foundation Doctors (FY1/FY2) The only pre-course requirement is that you should be working in a service where you are regularly involved in cannulation. On the course, you will practice vascular scanning on human volunteers and cannula insertion on realistic models. You’ll also be given your own vascular access model to take away for further practice.
